Leading the Fight Against Accidental Burns in Latin America
APROQUEN's Pioneering Burn Prevention Education
Accidental burns are one of the most common causes of death in the Latin American region. As the only documented burn prevention education program in Latin America, we are sharing our wealth of experience in burn prevention with peer organizations in the Central American region.
Nicaragua Program
To decrease the rate of burns incurred by children Asociación Pro-Niños Quemados de Nicaragua medical team visits preschools and elementary schools to provide outreach and information.
Costa Rica Program
ASOQUEM has been committed to burn prevention education for 9 years now and in October of 2023 they received funding from APROQUEN to further expand and grow their efforts.
