ASOQUEM
Burn Prevention

With APROQUEN’s support ASOQUEM has reached 1,719 adults, 233 teachers, and 1,521 children with burn prevention education in the period from October 2023 to May 2024.

This support has allowed them to strengthen their program and reach even more children and adults. Their Program’s Burn Prevention slogan is “A Burn Should Be Prevented”.  Through this Program, the goal is to disseminate burn prevention messages nationwide in an accessible way to ensure the information is well received.  The interactive methodology of the program is very engaging and keeps participants (especially children) entertained while they receive the prevention messages. This is done with the help of characters like Nonu, an adorable purple manatee who serves as the program’s mascot. Additionally, they have the support of organizations like Fossiland, which use their own characters to teach about the dangers found in a common household kitchen.
