For families in need, Asociación Pro-Niños Quemados de Nicaragua provides a home away from home so they can stay close to their children while they receive treatment or rehabilitation therapy at Casa Albergue for burns or cleft lip and palate.
Casa Albergue is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children with burns and cleft lip and palate to receive ongoing medical treatment, physical therapy, and emotional support. The program provides 24-hour care by a team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and psychologists.

Thanks to the generous contribution of Joe Clark, Casa Albergue was built to provide emotional support as well as relief and care for the patients and their families in their time of need. Casa Albergue is a child centered space designed with a playground and reading corner that enhance the healthcare experience by providing comfort and supportive services.
